The convection setting actually browns food properly instead of just heating it, which is rare for a countertop unit this size. I’ve used it for roasting chicken thighs and they came out crispy on the outside without drying out.
I’ve been rotating between the microwave and convection modes all week, and the 1.2 cubic feet interior somehow fits a whole chicken without hogging my counter. The air fryer setting crisps up frozen fries better than my old dedicated fryer, which is saying a lot.
The flashXpress broiler is the standout for me—it crisps up the top of fish and melts cheese in about two minutes flat.
